Waring Professional Blenders – Waring MX1000R
For all that Waring profession blenders can, and should be, considered as workhorses, there aren’t a lot of features. Having said that, the most significant feature of the MX1000R is its horsepower. At 3.0 horsepower, this blender puts out enough juice to, well, make juice! Through whatever you want in here, stand back, and let it rip! No matter how dense the fruit or vegetables you use to make your smoothies or soup, this machine can handle. This may be a small kitchen appliance in the grand scheme of things, the Waring MX1000R should be called a major appliance.

Here’s a glimpse of what other owners of Waring Commercial Blenders have to say.
Last Blender You’ll Ever Need – From Chicago Resident @amazon.com the greatest drink mixer you’ll ever buy. My wife is the queen of frosty drinks. With this blender the ingredients don’t separate half-way through your drinking pleasure. Our old mixer, also touted as a professional blender, caused the ingredients to separate in the glass after about 3 minutes. Have not seen that happening after this blender get’s through doing its job. Crushes ice without cringing and is essentially oblivious to anything thrown in, just blends everything into a great pulp. Highly recommended for the serious frosty drinker.

Handles what Others Can’t – From where’s-the-Sun? @amazon.com
We have gone through 4 blenders in the last 18 months. We are consumers of high quality products and usually do our research. Each and everyday we make “fruit shakes” for our family of 5. Our mix consists of frozen fruit, sometimes some fresh fruit, yogurt, and oj. Our other blenders burned out, even the Blendtec couldn’t handle the job (it automatically shut down on us, plus it couldn’t really handle 64 oz. of our mix!). But this guy (okay, it’s very masculine looking), can do the job quick and make enough in the mega-sized 64 oz. plus pitcher for all 5 of us (we usually have to make 2 pitchers). Frozen drinks are just about all we use a blender for so for our purposes, this is the only one for us! It’s loud, it’s scary, it moves about a bit, but it does the job so fast that it doesn’t matter that much. It’s not that attractive to my eyes, but my DH thinks otherwise. I usually like to store my appliances in cabinets, but this one is too big and heavy to move in and out each day…so on the counter it stays (it’s sure to be a conversation piece). I have to say that it makes my life A LOT easier and that is why I rate it a 5.

…and, stand back. This la machina is so powerful you might ride it to the grocery store. Buying #2 for my son’s B/Day. He was impressed…and, that’s sayin’ something.
Waring MX1000R 3.0 horsepower blender – From Berlyn1955 @amazon.com
After reviewing several high power blenders on line and watching the Montel Williams advertisement for green smoothies I decided to purchase the Waring blender as it was made in the USA. The reviews were all pretty good.
I have found that it works great! I make smoothies with spinach, apples, cranberries, oranges, carrots, tomatoes, bananas, ice and they all blend easily. I don’t find that the noise is excessive especially when compared to my old blender that had stripped part of the rotatary mechanism and made a lot more noise and was a low power blender. It is simple to use with only two switches and a high and low and pulse speed. The pitcher is easy to clean.
I highly recommend this product even though it is a little pricey.
Waring MX1000R Pros
Since we’ve already spent a lot of time on this site touting the wonder of the Waring MX1000R, we really don’t need to spell out all of the pros here again.
However, here is a huge plus for some people. This blender is big! When mixing drinks for friends and/or family, do you find that you have to keep starting over from scratch because your blender just doesn’t have the necessary capacity? With a 64 ounce pitcher, that likely won’t be a problem you often run into if you own the MX1000R.
Okay, so let’s move on to the cons. Ironically, some of the cons are pros too! Remember, you can’t please all of the people all of the time.
Waring MX1000R Cons
The MX1000R is just perfect for some people, but too much of a good thing for others. As mentioned above, this is a big blender, and some find that a little overwhelming.
So here are some of the cons:
It’s big! At 15 pounds and 19 inches high, this blender can be a bit cumbersome to move around. If you have counter space to spare, and use it often, I recommend making a home for it on your counter and leaving it there. Otherwise you, also need to clear of a space in your pantry, or try to find cupboard space to store it.
All that power—3 Horsepower—is great when it comes to getting the job done, but the downside is that it’s loud. But I wouldn’t say it’s all that louder than other blenders I’ve had, but others find it a bit much.
While the pitcher holds 64 ounces, you must remember that that only includes cold contents. You have less capacity for hot contents. This is to minimize the chances of getting scalded when adding hot items.
You cannot put the pitcher in the dishwasher.
Some people like to throw their stuff in the blender then walk away, or continue with other jobs. When using the MX1000R it’s recommended to keep one hand on the container while using the blender, and you should always hold it when starting the blender up. Because the machine is so powerful, it can jump a bit when the motor engages.
So there you have it. In my opinion, none of the cons are show stoppers. If you want a powerful, professional blender, the pros far outweigh the cons.
